Life Never Goes As Planned (And That’s Okay)
Hey!!
Can we talk about how really NOTHING in our life turns out how we imagine?
As children, we have so many dreams imagining that adulthood will be like a movie filled with a dream house, a fulfilling career, exciting adventures, and perfect travel weekends. But reality hits differently, doesn’t it?
Story of my lifeeee - I was so sure I’d become this fancy doctor wearing a white coat saving patient's lives, but here I am in tech debugging code instead of pulse rates (still cool, but NOT the dramatic hospital rushing scene I pictured in those serials for saving lives! 😂).
Take me and my friends, for example. We had been planning a movie date from a long time, but it kept getting delayed for various reasons. Finally, when we were all set to go, what do we hear? The sound of raindrops pouring down, literally washing away our plans. 🌧️
This is life—unpredictable, messy, and sometimes weirdly memorable.
This kind of things happens to me all the time and always ,what I expect is often so far different from reality.
But here is the truth: Where do these high expectations come from?
Actually i think it’s from what we see in movies, on social media, or from people around us. But in reality, it’s all a lie. Nobody posts their 3 AM panic attacks, their insecurities hidden behind makeup, or the countless fights that perfect couples have. 😩 We see people’s successes but never see their struggles behind them.
The hard truth? We can plan all we want, but life is going to do its own thing.
I remember being so excited for my sister's wedding. I had prepared a dance to perform, but then I injured my leg and had to watch everyone else dance while I sat on the side. 💃😢
The universe literally said "Not today" 😆
How to Keep Your Cool When Life Laughs at Your Plans
Actually it is natural to feel angry or sad when things don’t go as we want, but still we have to accept the reality.Yeah, I know the truth can be harsh, but acceptance can help us cope. Always have a Plan B or maybe a Plan C. This isn’t about being negative but it’s about being prepared to face whatever comes your way. Sometimes, the unexpected turns out to be far better than what we had planned.
At the end of the day, our messy, imperfect lives are way more interesting than the Instagram-reel ones we often imagine. That’s where the good stories come from.
We grow by accepting things as they are, and that’s what makes us human.
So, if the next time something unexpected happens, take a deep breath and remember one day, you’ll look back and laugh, or a great story to tell.
Now tell me your story like something you planned and what actually happened. Spill the tea below! 👇
